Project Overview: Explore Alberta UI/UX Case Study

Explore Alberta

Explore Alberta is a high-contrast, cinematic travel blog UI design crafted specifically for local photographers. This project centers on a “visual-first” philosophy, utilizing immersive, full-width photography and modular layouts to create a premium digital experience. The design’s core identity is defined by a bold, charcoal-and-gold color palette, mirroring the rugged yet majestic nature of the Canadian Rockies.

A Digital Case Study Designed to Explore Alberta's Beauty.

A standout feature is the custom ‘Alberta Explorer Mission’ frame—a geometric yellow border that physically boxes in the wildlife and landscapes, guiding the user’s eye and creating a signature branded element. Beyond aesthetics, the layout is strategically organized into distinct content blocks: a “Now Streaming” video section for multi-media engagement and a “Travel from the Couch” interactive gallery. This project demonstrates a balance between high-end editorial aesthetics and functional, scannable UX. It is built to showcase local storytelling through a premium lens, transforming a standard travel blog into an elite, mission-driven exploration platform.
